My work deals with thoughts of restraint, the constant reactions and choices that free or restrict us. They become interruptions in the flow of life processes that flare up, or sometimes become so constant as to fall into routine.
Everyday we encounter mental, physical and emotional restraint when we choose which words to say or when we put on a seatbelt. At times, these may be opposing thoughts that lead one towards a paradox, a dual nature where both thoughts exist in tension.
